Like Kenya, Ghana is struggling with proper sanitization and waste management. And while Ghana imports e-waste, looked upon as an opportunity to create wealth and build a recycling economy, the waste that is generated internally still needs attention.

In this episode of #UncendsoredMtaani, we visited Nima, one of the oldest settlements of the Zongo community in Northern Accra. Nima’s waste problem mirrored those in Mathare and Kibra, but street by street, things are changing. Youths like Ibrahim Adam Mbani aka One Man are leading efforts to clean up Nima.
